Child Care Program Assistant - Children's Services
- Please note that the split shift position will work two 3.5-hour shifts per day (6 : 30am - 10 : 00am and 2 : 30pm - 6 : 00pm; these times may be amended based on centre location and operational needs). During school break periods, these positions may be straight, full day shifts.
Reporting to the Child Care Supervisor, this position is responsible to assist in the implementation of a child care program that meets the physical, emotional, social and intellectual development of each child within the program.

This position is with Salary Grade 3 and will be paid at the following hourly rates :
Conditions of Employment
All applicants are expected to comply with the Region of Durham's Code of Ethics and Code of Conduct Policies throughout the recruitment process. Prior to the start date, the successful candidate will be required to provide a satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check dated within two (2) months from date of hire. Additionally, tuberculosis screening and proof of immunization will be required in accordance with the Child Care and Early Years Act, 2014 (CCEYA) Ontario Regulation 137 / 15. Proof of education, qualifications and any other bona fide job requirements will also be collected.
