Position Overview: The Fuel Analyst is responsible for supporting accurate fuel transaction processing, yard tank reconciliation, reporting, and related accounting activities. This role works closely with internal stakeholders to maintain fuel records, support IFTA administration, assist with automation and continuous improvement initiatives, and provide timely analysis that supports operational and financial decision-making.

Location: Dartmouth, NS

Schedule: Monday - Friday | 8:00am - 4:30pm

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Pull daily yard tank transactions and reconcile yard tank activity.
  • Assist with automating yard tank processes to improve accuracy and efficiency.
  • Complete yard tank analysis and reporting.
  • Process fuel transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Support IFTA filing and administration.
  • Prepare monthly journal entries.
  • Reconcile, analyze, and maintain fuel general ledger accounts and sub-ledgers.
  • Administer fuel cards and transponders.
  • Assist with automation projects and process improvement initiatives.
  • Respond to inquiries and provide support to internal customers.
  • Enhance reporting and analysis related to fuel revenue and expenses.
  • Prepare ad hoc reports as requested.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Diploma in Business with a focus in accounting, or equivalent work experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work proactively and professionally with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize work, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • High level of motivation and energy.
