What you will be doing:

  • Lead and manage review and assurance engagements from planning through completion.
  • Review working paper files, financial statements, and related compliance documentation.
  • Review compilation, review, and audit engagements, including applicable tax filings.
  • Ensure client deadlines and project timelines are met.
  • Mentor, coach, and review the work of junior team members.
  • Resolve accounting and assurance issues with clients.
  • Assist with developing and improving assurance templates and processes.
  • Stay current with CPA standards, assurance requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Support tax engagements during peak periods as required.

What you must have:

  • CPA designation.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive public practice assurance experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience reviewing, mentoring, or supervising staff.
  • Strong experience managing assurance engagements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized with strong time management and prioritization skills.
  • Proactive, solutions-oriented, and client-focused.

Technical Skills
Experience with some or all of the following is preferred:

  • CaseWare
  • CaseView
  • QuickBooks
  • Sage 50 (Simply Accounting)
  • Taxprep
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • IFRS reporting (considered an asset)

Salary/Rate Range: $105,000–$120,000 base salary (flexible for exceptional candidates)
