To support our continued growth and commitment to exceptional customer service, we are seeking a Service Manager to join our team. Full-time position to oversee with all Service Department needs related to customer service, supporting account managers, general administration and senior management. Handle service-related phone calls while taking detailed information pertinent to various service requests. Input information and create accurate work orders utilizing our proprietary Customer Relationship Management program. Create detailed service reports and costing breakdowns for completed work orders. Proofreading and formatting of service-related quotations and reports. Provide daily updates and correspondence with client base as needed. Position and Duties - Managing the Service department operations and scheduling - Ensuring all corporate policies, protocols, and procedures related to our Proprietary Repair Maintenance system are properly entered and managed - Addressing customer concerns and inquiries in a courteous, professional manner - Ensuring compliance with company standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, safety, and complete and on-time delivery - Providing leadership for problem resolution to facilitate faster improvements and improved working relationships - Ensuring that all employees adhere to company policies and procedures - Working with and dealing with field personnel concerns - Preparing service cards, quotes, and invoices - Analyzing blueprints, drawing, and specifications - Compiling accurate and well-organized estimates and proposals in a timely manner for various roofing projects - Providing clear detailed quantity takeoffs - Organizing sub-contractors’ quotations, negotiating to ensure quotes meet contract documents and issuing proper documented purchase orders - Completing budgets and schedules for project and tracking same - Monitoring job progress, requisitioning change orders and identifying risks - Maintaining relationships with vendors, sub-contractors and customers - Ensuring site personnel are provided with proper documentation related to the project - Providing and maintaining unit prices and database for material and labour costs - Other duties that may be required in all areas of the branch Skills/ Qualifications: - High school diploma minimum, College/University degree a plus - Construction, building envelope or roofing industry experience, a plus - Knowledge of various flat roofing systems: e.g. TPO, PVC, BUR, Mod-Bit, etc. - Previous customer service experience is preferred - Ability to maintain professionalism with high level of integrity - Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment - Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment (frequent interaction with internal departments, operations and customers) - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written - Strong attention to detail with exceptional time management and organizational skills - Must be a problem solver - Ability to relate well to all kinds of people, can build constructive and effective relationships using diplomacy and tact - Self-motivated with the ability to work at fast paced professional level - Computer literacy with proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) We Offer: - Competitive salary – based upon experience - A comprehensive benefit program for you and your family - Pension Plan Benefits - A culture that is built on teamwork, diversity and passion for success - Opportunities are available throughout the company for talented, experienced and advancement-driven individuals - Excellent incentives
