Accurately manage timecards and inventory in Powell River, BC, using accounting, spreadsheet, and reconciliation skills. This full-time term continues to September 30, 2027.

The City of Powell River seeks an Accounting Clerk – Timekeeper/Storekeeper for Finance Services. You will review employee time and attendance records, process inventory and purchasing transactions, and maintain supporting documentation. The work requires discretion with payroll and supplier-related information.

Key Responsibilities:

Review and record employee timecard information accurately
Process inventory and purchasing transactions
Maintain purchase orders and transaction records
Reconcile timecard and inventory information
Respond to routine employee and supplier inquiries

Requirements:

Grade 12 diploma and accounting-related certificate
Minimum three accounting courses within the certificate
WHMIS certificate and one year related experience
Intermediate spreadsheet and basic word processing skills
Forty words per minute typing speed
