What We Are Looking For :
Aird & Berlis LLP is currently seeking a Client Operations Clerk who has law firm experience. Reporting to the Supervisor of Client Operations the ideal candidate will have great communication skills a keen eye for detail and will be able to work well both independently and on a team. Candidates must posses strong work ethic professionalism and good judgement.
Responsibilities :
- Conflict checking; responsible for conducting database searches for new clients and matters prepare and report findings to initiating lawyer / patent agent send firm wide email daily listing all new conflict inquiries
- Review engagement letters for compliance with firm policies
- Open new clients and matters ensuring firm requirements are met
- Cross-training functions within department
- Liaise with patent agents lawyers and assistants
- Produce the highest quality of work
- Accountable for all work assigned
- Takes initiative
