Job description

Job Description

The Warehouse and Fulfillment Teammate plays a vital, hands-on role in the daily operations of our warehouse. This position is responsible for the accurate picking, packing, and shipping of orders, including both parcel shipments and palletized freight. Working in a fast-paced environment, the Fulfillment Associate ensures that all orders are processed on time and meet Riptide’s high standards for quality, accuracy, and efficiency – and always with a safety-first mindset.

The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and thrives in a physically active role. You take pride in your work, step forward with new ideas that improve the day to day operations, and understand that every correctly picked and packed order contributes directly to customer satisfaction and the success of our partners.

Duties of the Role:

  • Order Picking: Accurately pick items based on order details, using warehouse management tools and scanners to verify SKUs, quantities, and product conditions.
  • Packing: Prepare products for shipment by securely packaging items to prevent damage during transit, applying appropriate labeling, and ensuring all documentation is included.
  • Shipping: Stage orders for same-day courier pickup or LTL carriers, confirming shipping methods and deadlines. Register Small Parcel (SP) and LTL shipments. Load parcels and skids for outgoing shipments.
  • Receiving: Off-load incoming shipments, conduct package inspections for any damage and safely put away product.
  • Inventory Accuracy: Help maintain accurate inventory by reporting stock discrepancies, participating in inventory counts, and keeping pick areas organized.
  • Warehouse Organization: Keep workstations, aisles, and shelves clean and orderly. Assist with general warehouse upkeep and storage optimization.
  • Safety & Efficiency: Follow all safety protocols and contribute to a team-oriented, high-performance work culture focused on productivity and continuous improvement.
  • Flexibility: Support receiving, returns, and restocking functions as needed during peak periods or staff absences.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1-year previous experience in a fast-paced warehouse or fulfillment environment.
  • Ability to lift and move boxes and skids up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
  • Comfortable working in a physically active, fast-paced environment with same-day shipping goals.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in executing tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented with a positive attitude.
  • Basic computer or scanner literacy is an asset.
  • Experience operating Material Handling Equipment (MHE), preferred.
