Light General Labour- Food Preparation and Packaging-Milton

We are seeking dependable individuals for light general labour roles within our client's refrigerated food preparation facility in Milton. In this position, you will assist with the preparation, cutting, and packaging of fresh produce in a clean, temperature-controlled environment.

Shift Details & Compensation

Start Date: Scheduled start dates beginning this November.

Hourly Pay: $17.95 per hour.

Shifts Available: Morning /afternoon/overnight

Responsibilities
Wash, peel, trim, chop, and cut fresh vegetables to specification.

Portion, package, and label prepared produce in containers or bags.

Inspect fresh produce along the processing line to ensure quality and freshness standards.

Place packaged items into crates or onto pallets for shipping and distribution.

Maintain a sanitary work area by routinely cleaning and sanitizing prep stations, cutting tools, and surfaces.

Follow all food handling, health, safety, and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) guidelines.

Qualifications
Comfortable working continuously in a chilled warehouse setting (temperatures kept between 5°C and 10°C; warm layers recommended).

Capable of performing light, repetitive hand tasks (slicing, sorting, packing) while standing for extended periods.

Attention to detail, hygiene, and safe knife/equipment handling practices.

Steel-toe safety shoes (CSA-approved) required

Reliable transportation to the Milton facility for scheduled shift start times.

No prior food processing experience required; full on-the-job training is provided.
