Position : Licensed Optician (Part time options available)
About Us
Join our dedicated team at Janelle King Optometry, where exceptional patient care meets cutting-edge eye health solutions. We are a small independent optometry practice with two experienced doctors dedicated to providing exceptional eye care to our diverse community. Our practice specializes in comprehensive vision care and includes advanced vision therapy services. We pride ourselves on delivering personalized, high-quality care to patients of all ages and backgrounds.
What You'll Do
As our Licensed Optician, you will play a vital role in our patient care team by :
- Dispensing and Fitting : Accurately measure, fit, and adjust eyeglasses and contact lenses according to prescriptions and patient needs
- Frame Selection : Guide patients through our extensive frame collection, providing expert recommendations based on prescription requirements, lifestyle, and personal preferences
- Technical Expertise : Perform precise measurements including PD, seg heights, and fitting parameters for progressive and specialty lenses
- Patient Education : Explain lens options, coatings, and care instructions to ensure optimal vision outcomes
- Quality Assurance : Inspect and verify finished eyewear meets prescription specifications and quality standards
- Administrative Support : Maintain accurate patient records, process insurance claims, and manage inventory and put orders through to labs for spectacles and contact lenses.
- Collaborative Care : Work closely with our optometrists to support vision therapy programs and specialized treatments
