Job Title: Heavy Equipment OperatorJob DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator with experience in operating excavators, skid steers, and rollers. This role involves working around underground and above-ground utilities, sorting materials, loading trucks, and digging. You will be working on a variety of sites ranging from Vancouver to Maple Ridge.
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, skid steers, and rollers.
- Work safely around underground and above-ground utilities.
- Sort materials and load trucks efficiently.
- Perform digging tasks as required.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and clean equipment tracks.
- Perform general labor tasks and assist with civil construction projects.
Essential Skills- 5+ years of experience operating an excavator.
- Experience with mainline and underground utility work.
- Capability to perform labor-intensive tasks and lift up to 50lbs.
- Good communication skills.
- Proficiency in working in all weather conditions, both indoors and outdoors.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Experience with tying operations.
- Forklift and roller operation experience is advantageous.
- Must have personal protective equipment (PPE) such as 6" steel-toed boots, glasses, protective gloves, hard hat, and high visibility vest.
- Must have a car for site access.

Work Environment
You will work primarily outdoors, exposed to various weather conditions including mud and rain. The work sites frequently change, ranging from UBC to East Maple Ridge, with urgent needs in those areas. Be prepared for a physically demanding role with all necessary safety gear provided.
