Job description
About the Opportunity:This is an off-shift role for a dependable tradesperson who can work safely, respond calmly to breakdowns, communicate clearly, and take ownership of equipment reliability.
We are seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Millwright to support a highly automated distribution facility. You will maintain and troubleshoot automated material-handling equipment, conveyors, lifts, shuttle systems, ASRS equipment, robotics, pallet-handling systems, and related facility assets. Your work will directly support safe operations, system uptime, and continuous improvement.
Afternoon Shift: 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM. Night Shift: 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electromechanical equipment.
  • Maintain conveyors, gearboxes, bearings, chains, belts, lifts, shuttles, robots, pallet-handling equipment, and ASRS systems.
  • Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance in accordance with established procedures.
  • Respond to breakdowns, identify root causes, and safely restore equipment with minimal operational disruption.
  • Complete inspections, work orders, parts usage, and repair documentation in the CMMS.
  • Participate in root cause analysis, reliability improvements, equipment upgrades, shutdowns, and capital projects.
  • Partner with Operations and other maintenance trades while providing clear breakdown and shift-handover updates.
  • Follow all safety, LOTO, working-at-heights, and site-specific requirements.

Required Qualifications:
  • Valid Alberta Journeyperson Millwright certificate or recognized equivalent; Red Seal endorsement is preferred.
  • At least 3 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing, warehousing, or distribution environment.
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills and the ability to read drawings, manuals, and equipment documentation.
  • Practical experience with conveyors, power transmission, pneumatics, hydraulics, alignment, and precision measurement.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize competing breakdowns, and make sound decisions during off-shift operations.
  • Clear communication, teamwork, and accurate maintenance documentation skills.
  • Ability to safely work at heights and meet the physical requirements of an industrial maintenance role.

Preferred Experience:
  • Automated distribution, ASRS, shuttle, robotics, sortation, or high-speed conveyor systems.
  • Basic electrical and controls awareness, including sensors, VFD-driven equipment, and PLC-controlled machinery.
  • Reliability-centered maintenance, condition monitoring, failure analysis, or continuous improvement.
  • Experience using a CMMS and supporting equipment installations or commissioning.

What We Offer:
  • Competitive wage with applicable afternoon or night shift premium.
  • Comprehensive benefits, pension, and company savings programs.
  • Ongoing technical and automation training.
  • Stable, long-term work with advanced material-handling and robotics technology.
  • A safety-focused team where skilled troubleshooting makes a visible impact.

We welcome applications from qualified candidates across Canada.
