Job description
Adecco is currently hiring a full-time Journeyman Millwrights on behalf of our client, an industry-leading food manufacturing company located in Calgary, Alberta . In this role you will be responsible for performing maintenance and repair on all facility and production machinery. This role also supports improvement projects focused on safety, production efficiency, and environmental performance at the Calgary plant.
  • Location: Calgary, AB
  • Shift: Monday to Friday | rotational shifts
  • Job type: Permanent | Full-time
Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair breakdowns on plant production equipment and facility systems
  • Perform maintenance activities in compliance with company policies, procedures, and HACCP regulations
  • Promote strong communication and collaboration within the maintenance team and with other stakeholders
  • Follow and execute all preventive maintenance schedules
  • Accurately report all completed and outstanding work, including parts and tools used
  • Actively contribute to maintaining a safe work environment for coworkers, customers, and visitors
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and complete other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor or designate
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Valid Provincial Millwright Journeyman Certificate with Red Seal endorsement
    (2nd or 3rd Year Apprentices will also be considered)
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams
  • Knowledge of PLCs, motor controls, and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) is considered an asset
  • Strong communication skills, initiative, reliability, and excellent attendance
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts, including weekends and overtime as required
  • Ability to perform physical work, including some heavy lifting
  • Mu st be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
