Job description

Journeyperson Millwright (6-Month Contract)

Compensation: $49.91/hour + $0.60/hour night shift premium
Location: SE Edmonton, AB
Job Type: Temp (6-Month Contract)

Randstad is partnering with a leading heavy industrial manufacturing facility in Edmonton, AB currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Journeyperson Millwright for a 6-month temporary contract. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the reliability and peak performance of heavy production machinery.

Highly Competitive Compensation: $49.91 per hour with an additional $0.60 per hour premium for night shifts.

Responsibilities
Perform preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance on heavy industrial equipment (including hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems).

Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical failures efficiently to minimize production downtime.

Read blueprints and utilize precision tools to assemble, align, and safely install or move heavy machinery.

Document maintenance activities and work closely with operators and other trades to optimize equipment reliability.

Strictly adhere to all safety regulations, including Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO) and hazard assessments.

Qualifications
Certification: Valid Alberta Journeyperson Millwright Certificate or Interprovincial Red Seal designation.

Experience: Proven millwright experience within a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment.

Technical Skills: Strong working knowledge of power transmission, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems (basic welding/fabrication is an asset).

Work Requirements: Ability to safely handle the physical demands of heavy industry, willingness to work night shifts, and a strong safety-first mindset.

Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with excellent communication skills to work effectively in a team environment.
