About this role

Join the Retail Experience (Retex) team as an Intermediate Android Developer. The Retex team is dedicated to enhancing the Grocery Menu Experience (GME) by building a high-value interface tailored for high-SKU-count retail partners.

This role centers on developing innovative features, as well as integrating with and maintaining existing functionality. You will push the application's technology and architecture forward, utilizing Jetpack Compose and modern concurrency patterns, and scope new features into actionable tickets to build deep product knowledge within our Scrum model.

Location : Remote Canada

Reporting to : Technology Manager

These are some of the key components to the position :

• Product Definition : Collaborate with engineering teams and Product Managers in workshops to contribute significantly to defining new product features.
• Technical Ownership : Consistently deliver high-quality software that meets team best practices and expectations.
• Project Management : Take complete ownership of components you develop, managing timelines and transparently communicating progress towards wider team and organizational goals.
• Cross-Functional Communication : Share your progress and ideas with your team, and contribute to the growth of the Android guild by sharing new development practices, patterns, and standards.
• Inner Source Model Contributions : As a Trusted Contributor, you'll play a vital role in contributing to other teams’ repos to integrate new features into their codebase.
