TRS Staffing Solutions has an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Engineering Lead to work for an amazing EPCM client in Vancouver, BC. This position comes with a great opportunity to work on medium to large sized projects.

Responsibilities:
  • Track and analyze key material quantities, providing forecasts and insights.
  • Execute advanced hydraulic calculations for slurry and solutions.
  • Develop design guidelines.
  • Oversee procurement, permitting, and subcontracting activities for equipment and materials.
  • Address and resolve intricate engineering challenges.
  • Create specifications and conduct technical evaluations for various mineral processing equipment.
  • Offer independent recommendations for complex problem-solving aligned with project goals.
  • Review and ensure vendor documentation meets project standards, resolving any discrepancies.
  • Utilize cost-effective strategies to deliver optimal project solutions for engineering tasks.
  • Perform additional tasks as required.

Qualifications:
  • Hold a four-year degree or international equivalent in engineering, along with 15 years of relevant professional experience; must have a recognized certification or registration in the field.
  • Experience in the mining industry.
  • Communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including management, colleagues, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors.
  • Understand and apply local, state/provincial, and federal/national regulations and guidelines.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently within time constraints.
