This is an opportunity to work with modern development practices while gaining exposure to highly specialized technologies within a secure, regulated, client-focused environment.

You’ll work alongside experienced developers and cross-functional teams, take ownership of meaningful technical challenges, and have the opportunity to share your expertise while mentoring more junior developers.

This role offers the opportunity to work with specialized technologies supporting high-volume enterprise print and document solutions. Experience with the following is an asset:

AFP, PDF, PostScript (PS), PCL, and LCDS
IPDS and LPR printing protocols
Print resources, fonts, overlays, simplex/duplex printing, and print-file structures
Sefas Producer, Sefas Designer, or Canon PRISMAproduction
Dialog, Compuset, Expressions, or Quadient composition platforms

Don't have all of the print technology experience? If you’re a strong software developer with the right technical foundation and a willingness to learn, we still want to hear from you.

Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, implement, and support medium-complexity software applications and product solutions.
Translate business requirements, technical designs, and architecture specifications into high-quality, scalable, secure, and maintainable code.
Work with Python, Shell/Bash, PowerShell, VBScript, relational databases, and a variety of Windows, Unix, and Linux environments.
Develop automated and regression tests to ensure application quality and reliability.
Troubleshoot and resolve product defects, production issues, and technical challenges.
Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, development teams, implementation teams, security, production support, and clients.
Champion SDLC best practices, reusable code, development standards, automation, and continuous improvement.
Participate in Agile and Waterfall initiatives, contributing to estimates, planning, technical documentation, and delivery.
Share your knowledge and provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers.

Qualifications
Experience with the following:
AFP, PDF, PostScript (PS), PCL, and LCDS
IPDS and LPR printing protocols
Print resources, fonts, overlays, simplex/duplex printing, and print-file structures
Sefas Producer, Sefas Designer, or Canon PRISMAproduction
Dialog, Compuset, Expressions, or Quadient composition platforms
5+ years of software development experience, including designing, developing, and supporting complex applications.
Experience across the full software development lifecycle, from requirements through deployment and production support.
Strong hands-on experience with Python, Shell/Bash scripting, PowerShell, VBScript, and relational databases.
Experience working with Windows, Unix, and Linux environments, including physical and virtualized servers.
Strong understanding of software engineering principles, object-oriented design, testing, and SDLC best practices.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum and/or Waterfall environments.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
A degree, diploma, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.

Summary
You’ll be part of a team solving real-world technology challenges for leading organizations. You'll have the opportunity to work across software development, automation, infrastructure, security, and specialized document technology, while contributing to solutions that support critical business operations.

If you're a developer who likes to solve problems, learn new technologies, collaborate with smart people, and see your work make a real impact, we'd love to hear from you.
