As a Business Data Advisor, you will provide functional support to the EWRB solution by providing guidance and managing exceptions, and customer inquiries with respect to EWRB, working with IT to improve and maintain the EWRB application and working with Ministry of Energy in responding to clarifications. Additionally, you will support the delivery of data analytics functions through the development of IT scripts to extract information from internal and external data sets and run business intelligence routine jobs and administrative functions.

What you will do:
Identify solution gaps, initiating changes with TIS and evaluation solution options presented by Application support for EWRB and guide in the development of the solution.
Provide advise/explanations to the requestors and defend Enbridge processes and solution with various stakeholders.
Design acceptable and efficient workarounds for unresolved system and process issues.
Frequent interactions with various Management levels at the Ministry of Energy including participation in Utility working groups, making presentations to various requestor group and escalate and resolve Enbridge concerns with the broader EWRB processes and policies.
Supervise the summer student and/or Business Intelligence (BI) resources assigned to support EWRB.
Work closely with the various internal and external stakeholders like BOMA, FRPO, requestors, Ministry of Energy, EGI Ombudsman to resolve escalations.
Work with EGI legal to establish processes to strengthen EWRB and to support exceptions.
Communicate and distribute insights and findings on EWRB to audiences across all levels of the organization.
Perform exploratory data analysis on EWRB and other data sets to uncover patterns of user features and activities.
End to end ownership of the EWRB function from everyday management and setting strategic direction which includes ensuring timely and accurate processing of requests and reporting to Management.
Facilitate training sessions for building owners and BI support team on EWRB.
Support delivery of Business Intelligence in special projects and some ad hoc requirements.
Support maintenance of BI systems.
Support BI team by taking full ownership of certain analytical projects end to end from extracting and exploring data, generating hypothesis, building a structured analysis, and rigorously evaluating methods and results.
Who you are:
University degree in Business, Commerce, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Technology OR a two- year technical diploma with four or more years of directly related experience.
Experience in one of the following is preferred: IT application development, application support, change management functions, Marketing, Market research, Customer care or Business Intelligence, Data analytics, Business Analytics.
Familiarity with IT incident management, change management, testing and engagement and testing processes.
Proficiency in SQL and adept at queries and joining data from primary or secondary data.
Excellent writing skills to develop and maintain functional documentation.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate information with attention to detail and accuracy.
Proven abilities in building collaborative relationships across the organization and with external stakeholders.
Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced team environment.
Facilitation of workshops when necessary and presentations to groups of stakeholders.
Good communication skills and an awareness of how to communicate data and results effectively.
Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills with a strong client/customer focus.
Preferred:
Knowledge of customer care and escalation and de-escalation processes and mechanisms would be an advantage.
Knowledge of IT change management, application development and engagement process will be an added advantage.
Working Conditions:
Typical office environment.
Travel is required (approximately 5% of time), most travel is within Ontario.
Salary
Salary range is $95,000.00 - 105,000.00 CAD. Salary will be based on candidate’s experience, skills and internal equity.
