Overview
Position Summary : Shape the future of mental healthcare in Cranbrook at East Kootenay Regional Hospital (EKRH). You will provide services across inpatient and outpatient settings and contribute to community-driven initiatives, tailoring a holistic approach to wellness across all ages.
In our 12-bed inpatient unit and outpatient clinic, and through consultations in medical, surgical units and the emergency department, you will ensure comprehensive, tailored care. Beyond the hospital, you will help shape and deliver transformative psychiatric services in the rural East Kootenays, collaborating with clinical teams and Indigenous partners.
This role offers opportunities to manage a wide range of conditions, including mental health challenges, substance use disorders, and the development of comprehensive care strategies. You will play an important part in driving meaningful improvements and enhancing the well-being of individuals across the region.

Responsibilities
- Provide psychiatric services in inpatient and outpatient settings, across a 12-bed unit and outpatient clinic, and through consultations in medical, surgical units and the ER.
- Collaborate with Indigenous partners and clinical teams to shape and deliver transformative psychiatric services in rural East Kootenays.
- Manage a wide range of mental health conditions and substance use disorders, and contribute to the development of comprehensive care strategies.
- Support ongoing education, professional development, and a culture of continuous learning to foster growth and work-life balance.
- Contribute to quality improvement and efforts to enhance the well-being of individuals and communities served.
- Offer flexible employment options, including part-time schedules, to support balance and flexibility.
