We are seeking an experienced Freight Broker/Logistics Coordinator for a direct hire opportunity with a well-established 3PL brokerage in Etobicoke, ON. This fully on-site role is ideal for a logistics professional with strong LTL and FTL experience, proven carrier relationships, and a background in non-asset-based freight brokerage.

As a Freight Broker/Logistics Coordinator, you will manage freight movement from quote to delivery, negotiate rates, coordinate dispatching, and support cross-border transportation requirements. This is a strong fit for someone who thrives in a fast-paced brokerage environment, works independently, and enjoys building lasting relationships with customers and carriers.
Key Responsibilities
- Broker LTL and FTL freight for Canadian and U.S. customers while ensuring timely and cost-effective shipment movement.
- Build and maintain carrier relationships, negotiate rates, secure capacity, and coordinate dispatching requirements.
- Manage local and long-haul dispatching, including rail, flatbed, reefer, inbound, and outbound freight.
- Analyze load details to optimize routing, pricing, schedules, and carrier selection.
- Coordinate cross-border shipments, maintain awareness of customs regulations, and support transportation compliance.
- Communicate regularly with customers, carriers, and internal teams to provide updates, resolve issues, and ensure service expectations are met.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range: $60,000 to $70,000 per year, dependent on experience.
