What you need to be successful in the role :

Minimum 21 years of age

Maximum three demerit points (preferred)

Zero convictions or out-of-service events on CVOR abstract (preferred)

Criminal record search (no offences under Criminal Code of Canada)

Valid Class AZ or Class 1 driver’s licence

Must be cross-border capable

Professional attitude and desire to be part of an award-winning team

Minimum 2 years of verifiable flatbed experience, including :

Load securement using chains, binders, and straps

Experience with tarping various types of loads

Understanding of weight distribution and axle regulations

Hauling steel, lumber, machinery, or other standard flatbed freight

Knowledge of oversized load requirements (preferred but not mandatory)

Minimum age requirement for truck ownership : 7 years (trucks older than 7 years will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis)

An Owner Operator designated to the Flatbed Division must have the following minimum equipment :

Bulkhead on Tractor (Headache Rack)

10 Transport-Grade 3 / 8 Chains with Hooks

10 Screw Binders

Tarps with End Flaps & 3 Rows of Tie Downs

Miscellaneous "Softeners" and Load Protection

Oversized Load Signs & Flags

2 Revolving or Strobe Lights for O.D. Loads (Preferred, not required)

Protective Equipment as Required

Additional Tarps for Incidental Tarping

What to Expect :

Freight moves wherever our customers need

Dispatch is based on priority – considering driver availability, customer needs & load requirements

Expect a minimum commitment of 5–14 full days or more for optimal miles
