Chief Facilities & Technology Officer About the Company Recognized public school district & administration Industry Primary/Secondary Education Type Educational Institution Founded 1885 Employees 5001-10,000 Categories - Edmonton Specialties - k - 12 school district and education About the Role The Company is seeking a Chief Facilities and Technology Officer to lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive strategy that ensures students have access to high-quality and inclusive learning environments. The successful candidate will be a key member of the senior leadership team, responsible for championing the delivery of facilities and technology that support the educational mission. This role involves strategic planning, operational effectiveness, and continuous improvement, with a focus on upholding the education of children as the Division's foremost responsibility. The Chief Facilities and Technology Officer will also be tasked with leading a large, multi-faceted team and will be expected to engage with key partners, including government bodies, to address the Division's infrastructure needs. Candidates for this position should have a related university degree and a minimum of 10 years' of experience, including at least 5 years' in a senior leadership role. The ideal candidate will have a background in infrastructure and facilities management, with experience in a large, diverse, complex public sector organization. Key competencies include being an innovative leader, a trusted advisor, and a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills. The role requires outstanding relationship-building, communication, and presentation skills, as well as the ability to work with initiative and creativity under pressure. The successful candidate will be expected to promote a culture of continuous improvement, and openness, and to be adept at managing change and conflict resolution.
