Join us as our next Facilities Manager - a hands-on operational leader responsible for maintaining and evolving the infrastructure behind a high-performance EU-GMP certified medicinal cannabis facility.

This role is far more than facilities oversight. You will be on the production floor, solving real-time challenges, leading technical teams, and ensuring our cultivation, processing, and packaging environments operate safely, efficiently, and fully compliant with regulatory expectations.

If you thrive in fast-paced regulated environments and enjoy combining technical expertise, leadership, and operational execution, this could be your perfect next job.

Location: Brampton, Canada

Hours: Full Time, 37.5 per week

Salary: CA$100 - 130k

About the Role

As Facilities Manager, you will take ownership of all facility systems, utilities, and maintenance operations while acting as the on-site technical expert supporting uninterrupted production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Leadership & Maintenance

Provide hands-on leadership across all building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, utilities, and infrastructure, ensuring reliable day-to-day operations and rapid issue resolution.

  • Regulatory Compliance & Documentation

Maintain EU-GMP and Health Canada compliance by ensuring maintenance activities, validation work, and documentation remain accurate, controlled, and audit-ready.

  • Vendor & Contractor Management

Coordinate external service providers, manage vendor performance, and oversee maintenance contracts, upgrades, and emergency repairs.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work closely with Quality, Production, Engineering, and Security teams to align facility readiness with operational needs, new product introductions, and process changes.

  • Preventative Maintenance & Infrastructure Management

Lead preventative and predictive maintenance strategies while managing spare parts, facility budgets, and capital improvement initiatives.

  • Health, Safety & Environmental Control

Promote a strong safety culture, maintain controlled environments, and support sustainability initiatives across the site.

  • Leadership & Team Development

Supervise facility personnel and contractors while driving training, SOP development, and continuous improvement across the facilities function.

About You

You are a hands-on technical leader who thrives in operational environments and enjoys being directly involved in keeping complex facilities running efficiently.

Essential:

  • Facilities, maintenance, or technical operations experience in a regulated environment (cannabis, pharma, or food preferred)
  • Strong mechanical, electrical, and HVAC troubleshooting capability
  • Working knowledge of GMP, GACP, ISO, or comparable quality systems
  • Experience leading technicians, contractors, or small technical teams
  • Proven experience managing maintenance programs and budgets
  • Experience with CMMS, compliance tracking systems, and Microsoft Office
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Hands-on leadership style with strong execution focus

Desirable:

  • Direct experience within medicinal cannabis production environments
  • EU-GMP facility or regulated manufacturing experience
  • Knowledge of cultivation processes or cannabis plant biology
  • Experience supporting regulatory inspections and audits
  • Building Automation Systems (BAS / Argus) experience
  • Trade certification or engineering background (Mechanical, Electrical, HVAC, Industrial)
  • Project management certification (CFM, PMP) or equivalent
