Position Summary

CareRx is looking for a Pharmacy Assistant to join our Lower Mainland Pharmacy team supporting a group of long‑term care homes and retirement communities. The Pharmacy Assistant will assist with the preparation, packaging and organization of medication deliveries while supporting daily operations in accordance with Pharmacy Standards of Practice.

Role Accountabilities

• Ensure precise record‑keeping and prescription information from nursing staff is filled via dispensary software.
• Prepare medication for compliant packaging and maintain workflow for receiving and processing prescriptions within timelines.
• Assist with pharmacy inventory management and operate an automated dispensing machine (PacMed).
• Manage returns and expired products from nursing homes, including unpacking, sorting and disposal of medications.
• Prepare creams and liquids, and generate daily and weekly production reports.
• Maintain stock levels, reorder medications and prepare both manual and automated compliance packaging.

What You Will Bring To The Team

Compensation Range

$19 - $21 / hour. Actual pay rate will be based on the individual candidate’s credentials and experience.

Location

This is an on‑site role at 8525-8501 Commerce Crt, Burnaby V5A4N3. The position follows a five‑day workweek with participation in on‑call rotation for weekends.
