Job Purpose :
The Mechanical Engineer on the ICOR R&D Team plays a critical role in the design, development, testing, and support of advanced robotic systems for mission-critical applications. This position focuses on creating innovative mechanical solutions that enhance product performance, reliability, and usability. Working closely with cross-functional teams, the engineer contributes to the full product lifecycle, from concept and prototyping to production and continuous improvement, ensuring that ICOR’s robotics systems meet the highest standards of quality and functionality.

Role - Typical Duties :
- Interpret conventional and computer-assisted design (CAD) engineering designs, drawings, and specifications for products and components.
- Design products using SolidWorks, including part numbering, sourcing suppliers, building prototypes, and documenting findings.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, and Business stakeholders to plan and prioritize feature development.
- Conduct tests and analyses of products and materials to determine their performance, strength, response to stress, and other characteristics.
- Assist in the inspection, assembly, repair, and maintenance of products and components.
- Support the capture and documentation of R&D department procedures and processes.
- Apply geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
- Handle Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
- Perform other duties as required.
