You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to gather project specifications and translate them into detailed cost estimates. Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and detailed electrical cost estimates for various projects.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to analyze project specifications and drawings.
- Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and conditions.
- Research and evaluate pricing of materials, labor, and subcontracting services.
- Monitor and update estimation software to reflect current market trends and price fluctuations.
- Prepare and present bid proposals to clients and stakeholders in a clear and professional manner.
- Assist in contract negotiations and adjustments based on project scope changes.
Requirements
- Certified in Electrical Estimating and Construction Management, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 6 years' experience in electrical estimation or related positions in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and industry standards.
- Proficient in estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications accurately.
- Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with team members and clients.
- Well skilled in all Microsoft Office products and features.
- Have own vehicle and willing to travel to various job sites.
