The Financial Analyst supports a portfolio of hospital programs, including the Research Institute, and acts as the primary financial liaison. This role is responsible for financial reporting, grant accounting, reconciliations, budgeting support, and compliance with government and granting agency requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and expense analyses for assigned programs and grants
- Manage grant accounting activities, including invoicing, monitoring, reconciliations, closeouts, and final reporting
- Prepare government and granting agency financial statements and respond to audit and follow-up inquiries
- Review general ledger activity and prepare journal entries and supporting documentation to audit standards
- Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
- Support Scientists and Program Directors / Managers with budget preparation, financial guidance, and issue resolution
- Produce detailed financial and business analyses to support decision-making
- Participate in system maintenance and improvements (Adaptive / Meditech) and support process efficiencies
- Contribute to internal controls, policies, procedures, and special projects as required
