Treasury Analyst
Our client is a large real estate organization in the Markham area looking to add a Treasury professional to the head office team, looking for someone with 1-3+ years of Treasury experience, combined with the ability to learn a new business. The role is hybrid with one day a week in office.
The Treasury Analyst will be responsible for a wide spectrum of finance and treasury activities and be a valued member of a small Treasury team. Role will include:
- Responsible for daily cash management function
- Daily, weekly and monthly cash tracking and reporting, ensuring that all short-term funding requirements are met
- Work with the Regions to trouble shoot any payment/bank issues and work with internal and external service providers to resolve them in a timely manner
- Coordinate letter of credit applications and maintain outstanding letter of credit information and fees
- Support & review preparation of bank reconciliations for corporate bank accounts
- Work with the Regions for foreign currency requirements
- Executing urgent / important cash transactions as required
- Prepare quarterly bank compliance
- Assist with credit renewal negotiations
- Report monthly on Credit & Investment positions
- Supporting the financial reporting function every quarter by providing information necessary for the Management Discussion and Analysis
- Prepare routine reporting of treasury risk exposures
- Develop and maintain positive relationships and consistent communication with our banks, financial institutions and with key internal business partners
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Commerce, or related field
- 3+ years of related work experience
- Professional designation or progress towards one
