We have continued to prosper for the last eight decades thanks to the dedication of our employees and the ongoing trust and support of our customers.

Become part of team AIM, a growing team with an entrepreneurial spirit who has over the years evolved into a successful and multifaceted company with business divisions that include metal recycling, decommissioning and demolition, auto-parts sales and recycling, manufacturing of solder assemblies, construction waste recycling, and production of customized industrial and mining products.

We take pride in doing good things for the environment to help create a greener, more sustainable future for all.

It’s simple; we do it right. We AIM for excellence.

Job Description

As a business partner to the Buyer's Team, you will be responsible for supporting business development and customer relationships for scrap metal products. You will ensure that all preliminary and preparatory account management steps (scale ticket creation, load delivery, dispatch, and pricing) are properly and efficiently supported, so the Buyer has the best conditions for success and can optimize the business relationship.

What you’re responsible for:

  • Supporting the buyer by automating the pricing calculation process (formula sheets, pricing calculations, and pricing agreement reviews), handling paperwork and commodity validation, and setting checklists to ensure standard operating procedures.
  • Preparing reports and providing accurate information to support decision-making, resolve pricing and payment issues, and route requests to the appropriate stakeholders.
  • Assisting in coordinating deliveries with suppliers and receiving material on site. Assisting dispatchers with delivering and collecting materials, equipment, and containers to ensure the customer receives the best service.
  • Coordinating with administrative staff and the sales team to ensure the accurate and timely documentation of all purchase transactions.
  • Creating and tracking purchase orders from the CRM.

Qualifications

To join our team:

  • You have 3+ years of experience in account management or customer relationship management.
  • You have a degree in Business Administration or a related field (considered an asset).
  • You have proven experience in establishing and nurturing relationships.
  • You are organized, detail-oriented, and thrive in a team environment.
  • You are a results-driven, solution-oriented professional who challenges the status quo.
  • You are tech-savvy and possess strong Excel skills.

Additional Information

What we offer!

  • A competitive wage, vacation, benefits and a RRSP matching program
  • Annual AIM tuition scholarship program up to $8,500 per eligible dependents
  • The tools and support needed to be successful in your career and professional development
  • A dynamic & rewarding work environment that is also a lot of fun!
