Objective
Contributes to ensuring the high level of performance of the plant equipment by ensure application of maintenance procedures, methods and best practices, implementing action plans to improve both reliability and maintenance practices. Provide technical expertise for plant operations, as required. Ensure planning of maintenance operations, looking for the optimum use of resources, equipment availability and maintenance cost. Measures and monitors equipment conditions, analyzes trends, and identifies the needs for maintenance (mechanical, electrical, mobile equipment, and instrumentation), taking into account production constraints.
Responsibilities
Safety :
- Follows and ensures full compliance with Health & Safety policies and procedures.
- Ensures all contracts and project site meet the Lafarge safety policy requirements for our employee’s safety.
Inspections :
Perform safety inspections of the condition of equipment to ensure that it meets all required standards (Lafarge, CSA, etc).Ensure that Inspection Routes and Job Plans include Safety Inspection.Ensure the planned inspection of all plant equipment and initiate work orders based on inspection results, including safety checks. In case of anomaly, performs first analysis and defines priorities for each action.Monitor and co-ordinate condition predictors, for all critical equipment.Track inspection related KPIs to continuously improve the inspection process and efficiency to improve plant equipment reliability.Preventative Maintenance Plans :
Evaluate and improve the preventive maintenance job plans (from supplier’s recommendation if existing), create and update the corresponding inspection job plans, in coordination with the planner.Maintenance standards and execution :
Ensure that the maintenance practices, documented on Job Plans, comply with Quality Insurance Standards Organize Major Maintenance Turnaround and Shutdown inspections schedule.Maintain in-depth knowledge of the condition of all plant equipment on a continuous basis.Plant Equipment information Validate and update equipment specification files (strategy sheets) and history files (data collection sheets).Maintenance optimization, Root Cause Analysis and Equipment Reliability :
Ensure systematic review, application and optimization of lubrication program.Optimize the maintenance operations according to the availability of equipment and workforce.Contributes to the analysis of failures and problems, recommending corrective actions.Lead RCA initiatives for critical equipment failures to arrive at the root cause of the failure and develop associated action plan to prevent similar failures in the future.Analyze and propose solutions on recurring problems of equipment reliability or problems concerning safety and work conditions.Accountable to evaluate performance equipment plant through RCA, FMEA, pareto analysis on weekly bases to achieve NAI and MTBF plant targetBudgeting :
Identify, evaluate and proposes options to extend the life of plant equipment.Assist the Maintenance Manager with the preparation of maintenance budgets ensuring technical justification of maintenance operations; based on inspection and equipment historyRelationships with Others Jobs :
The Preventative Maintenance Coordinator reports to the Maintenance Manager. Collaborates with the Maintenance Coordinator in the execution of the maintenance, inspection and planning activities.Specific Accountabilities :
