Job description

THE OPPORTUNITY

BBE is seeking an experienced Parts Stores & Logistics Coordinator to join our team in Edmonton. This role works directly with our customers and carrier network to ensure goods are transported safely and efficiently. Our goal is to meet or exceed our client's expectations.

As a Parts Stores & Logistics Coordinator, you support BBE in delivering exceptional customer service to our clients and are responsible for inventory management and data processing. You will have experience in this industry, be solution-driven and organized, pay close attention to detail, and be committed to delivering the greatest value for our clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Cargo storage and buildup, including equipment checks, temperature control priorities, documentation completion, and good cargo building practices.
  • Receive cargo, including physical checks, documentation verification, storage location tracking, and system entry.
  • Billing approvals for shipments through third-party carriers.
  • Manage monthly client storage billing.
  • Prepare outbound loads per TDG and IATA as required, including relevant documentation, load specifications, and special handling instructions.
  • Monthly on-hand stock and shelf-life reconciliation.
  • Responsible for maintaining inventory levels while optimizing costs, storage space requirements, and usage levels within the network.
  • Ensure all Dangerous Goods Materials are handled by Transportation of Dangerous Goods Guidelines and IATA Dangerous Goods Shipping Requirements (upon certification).
  • Perform on-the-job training for DGP standards by completing a CEIV inspection.
  • Responsible for sourcing parts, parts alternatives, and related equipment within inventory when shortages arrive to minimize all aircraft-on-ground solutions.
  • Provide exceptional customer service (internally and externally).
  • Respond to ever-changing priorities at any given time while ensuring a safe operating environment.
  • Providing on-call services as the schedule dictates.

CORPORATE COMPLIANCE DUTIES

  • Actively participate in QHSETR programs and systems, including ISO 27001
  • Contribute to and foster transparent, direct communications, education, and customer service enhancement with operations teams and clients.
  • Contribute to BBE’s continuous improvement and organizational efficiency goals.
  • QUALIFICATIONS

  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Previous stores experience preferred.
  • Inventory experience essential.
  • Logistics experience is an asset.
  • SCMP or similar certification is considered an asset.
  • Strong computer skills are required.
  • Dangerous Goods Shipping by air or ground certifications.
  • Must be able to obtain a Transport Canada Security Clearance .
