Job description

Queen City Distillers is currently seeking an Inventory and Order Controller to join our growing team in Regina, SK. The Inventory and Order Controller is responsible for managing inventory levels, processing customer and supplier orders, and ensuring accurate stock records. This role helps maintain efficient inventory operations by coordinating with purchasing, warehouse, sales, and logistics teams to ensure products are available and delivered on time.

This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and committed to maintaining accurate inventory while ensuring orders are processed efficiently and delivered on time.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Monitor inventory levels and maintain accurate stock records.
  • Process customer and purchase orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Track incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods.
  • Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Maintain inventory management systems and update stock information.
  • Prepare inventory and order status reports for management.
  • Investigate and resolve order or inventory issues.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and inventory control procedures.
  • Collaborate with warehouse, procurement, and sales teams to optimize inventory flow.

Working Conditions

  • Work may be performed in an office, warehouse, or distribution center.
  • May require standing, walking, and occasional lifting of light to moderate loads.
  • Some overtime may be required during peak business periods.

Required Skills
  • Knowledge of inventory control methods (FIFO, LIFO, cycle counting).
  • Understanding of supply chain and logistics processes.
  • Ability to analyze inventory data and identify trends.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team


Required Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent; a diploma or degree in business, supply chain, or logistics is an asset.
  • Experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or order management.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Knowledge of inventory control methods (FIFO, LIFO, cycle counting).
