The Opportunity

This role joins a small, close-knit finance team that supports multiple locations across the Prairies. Reporting to the Controller, you’ll play a key role in ensuring financial operations run smoothly, accurately, and consistently across multiple legal entities.

You’ll be hands-on, involved in the details, and trusted as a go-to person within the accounting function. If you enjoy variety, problem-solving, and being part of a team that works hard and supports one another, this is a great opportunity to grow your career in a stable, well-run organization.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Overseeing core accounting functions, including AP, AR, payroll, inventory, and general ledger across multiple entities
• Preparing and reviewing day-to-day accounting transactions and journal entries with accuracy and timeliness
• Reviewing monthly bank reconciliations for Canadian and U.S. accounts
• Supporting month-end close activities, financial reporting, and key performance metrics
• Performing variance and margin analysis to ensure proper revenue and expense recognition
• Assisting with monthly financial statements, budgets, and forecasts
• Supporting year-end audit processes and coordinating audit requests
• Handling required provincial and federal tax filings
• Collaborating across teams to streamline workflows and improve accounting systems
• Participating in cross-training to support coverage within the finance team
• Contributing ideas to improve processes, efficiency, and consistency
• Supporting special projects and initiatives as the business continues to evolve
