POSITION: Construction Project Coordinator
LOCATION: Markham, ON
MacDonald Search Group is a national permanent placement recruiting firm and we recruit on behalf of hiring companies.
Our client is an established Canadian distributor of building materials specifically for sporting facilities and recreation spaces dealing with projects as high profile as the Rogers Centre and they are on the hunt for a Construction Project Coordinator to help manage the execution of installations. This role will work closely with internal teams, vendors, and clients to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and on budget.
Must have previous construction project management work experience and/or formal education related to construction project management.
Duties: - Assist in planning and coordinating multiple sports infrastructure projects
- Track project timelines, budgets, and deliverables
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth communication
- Prepare project documentation, reports, and updates
- Coordinate logistics, scheduling, and resource allocation
- Monitor project progress and address any issues or delays
- Support procurement and vendor management processes
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
Qualifications: - 2+ years of experience in construction project coordination
- Formal education related to construction project management highly preferred
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Proficiency in project management tools and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Compensation package will include a competitive base salary in the 65-75K range based on experience plus benefits.
