  • Work with the project team from estimating and bidding through to final closeout, supporting safe construction, profitability and client satisfaction.

  • Prepare the site and liaise with estimators, engineers and geotechnical surveyors before construction starts.

  • Assist with preparing project budgets and schedules, and help ensure the project is completed within budget and on schedule.

  • Track installed quantities and daily production, and prepare progress reports for the project team and client.

  • Monitor daily, weekly and monthly labour, equipment, material and subtrade costs to support cost tracking and monthly invoicing.

  • Support purchasing and procurement, and coordinate the timely delivery of materials by vendors.

  • Ensure the timely mobilization of the right equipment, tooling and staff to site.

  • Coordinate crews and daily field activities with site supervision.

  • Assist with preparing project submittals, quality control work packages and turnover packages.

  • Manage field documentation, ensuring records are accurate, complete and filed on time.

  • Review project plans and specifications, and comment on design, schedule, cost savings opportunities and potential construction issues.

  • Monitor the activities of subcontractors, subconsultants and suppliers.

  • Interface with the client as required.

  • Work with the HSE team to ensure health, safety and environmental regulations are followed.

  • Travel to project sites as required to support execution and coordination.

NOTE: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. Employees may perform other related duties as required to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.

Education
  • Diploma or degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering Technology or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Experience with submittals, procurement and turnover documentation.

  • Experience with in-field coordination is an asset.

Soft Skills
