Job Title: Business System Analyst (Banking Domain) Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid) Employment Type: Long Term Contract

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Business System Analyst (BSA) with strong Banking/Financial Services experience to bridge business and technology teams. The ideal candidate will have expertise in requirements gathering, system analysis, process improvement, and Agile delivery for enterprise banking applications.

Required Skills & Qualifications

8 12+ years of experience as a Business/System Analyst.
Strong experience in the Banking or Financial Services domain (Retail Banking, Commercial Banking, Payments, Lending, Capital Markets, or Wealth Management).
Expertise in gathering, analyzing, and documenting business, functional, and system requirements.
Experience creating:
- Business Requirement Documents (BRD)
- Functional Requirement Documents (FRD)
- User Stories & Acceptance Criteria
- Process Flows (Visio)
- Use Cases
Strong knowledge of SQL for data analysis and validation.
Experience working with APIs, system integrations, and data mapping.
Hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Strong knowledge of Jira, Confluence, and Microsoft Visio.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Canadian banking projects.
Knowledge of Payments, AML/KYC, Lending, or Digital Banking platforms.
Experience with cloud-based applications and enterprise integrations.
CBAP or Agile certification is an asset.

Key Responsibilities

Gather and analyze business and system requirements from stakeholders.
Translate business needs into detailed functional specifications and user stories.
Work closely with Product Owners, Developers, QA, and Solution Architects.
Perform gap analysis, impact analysis, and process improvement.
Support API integration, data mapping, and system design discussions.
Validate business requirements through UAT and functional testing.
Facilitate workshops, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and stakeholder meetings.
Ensure timely delivery of high-quality banking technology solutions.
