Job description3–5 years of hands-on experience operating and programming CNC mills and lathes. Experience with CAD / CAM systems (GibbsCAM preferred). Strong understanding of machining principles, cutting tools, speeds / feeds, and material properties. Proficient with precision measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and height gauges. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities with a high attention to detail. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong communication and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.

About our Client
Our client is a well-established engineering and manufacturing company based in Surrey, BC, specializing in precision-machined components. They are seeking an experienced CNC Operator to join their growing team on a full-time permanent basis.
Pay Rate - $35 an hour
Responsibilities
- Program, set up, and operate CNC milling machines and CNC lathes.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.
- Select appropriate tooling, speeds, feeds, and machining strategies for various materials.
- Perform machine offsets, program edits, troubleshooting, and adjustments to maintain accuracy.
- Conduct first-off and in-process inspections using precision measuring equipment.
- Maintain tight tolerances and ensure all components meet quality and production standards.
- Perform efficient machine setup changeovers for multiple job types.
- Maintain accurate production documentation and follow all shop safety procedures.
- Perform routine maintenance and keep the work area clean and organized.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize machining processes.
