Job description

Our client, a leading manufacturing organization, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Inspector to join their team. As a Quality Inspector, you will be an integral part of the manufacturing support team, ensuring the highest standards of tooling and fixture certification. The ideal candidate will demonstrate precision, strong communication skills, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: Quality Inspector

Location: Richmond Hill, ON

Shift: Monday to Thursday 7:00am - 4:30pm, Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm

What's the Job?

  • Operate portable Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) equipment to accurately measure tooling pallets in accordance with certification standards.
  • Identify deviations during tooling certification and communicate necessary fixture adjustments clearly to mechanical assembly teams.
  • Calibrate the portable CMM daily at the start of each shift to ensure measurement reliability.
  • Support continuous improvement by enhancing measurement accuracy and streamlining inspection processes over time.
  • Maintain detailed records of measurements and deviations to support quality assurance and compliance efforts.

What's Needed?

  • Background in Quality Inspection, Manufacturing, or a related technical field.
  • Experience with tooling, machining, or fixture certification is an asset.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings accurately.
  • Experience with portable metrology equipment (e.g., FARO arm or similar) is an asset.
  • High attention to detail and a strong commitment to measurement accuracy.
