Job description

HireArt is helping an on-demand, autonomous ride-hailing company hire a Quality Technician - Receiving Quality to support incoming material inspection and quality assurance processes.
In this role, you’ll help ensure that products meet defined standards and specifications by performing inspections, maintaining documentation, and supporting process improvements across receiving quality operations. You’ll also contribute to quality management systems through audits, root cause analysis, and corrective actions while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, hands-on, and experienced in manufacturing quality inspection across mechanical and electrical components.

As a Quality Technician - Receiving Quality, you'll:
  • Perform part-level inspections to ensure materials meet specifications and quality standards.
  • Process incoming materials and validate conformance to established requirements.
  • Create and maintain inspection plans for visual, functional, and mechanical testing across a range of components (e.g., injection-molded parts, castings, 3D-printed parts, PCBAs, and electrical sub-assemblies).
  • Document procedures, work instructions, and inspection results.
  • Enter test and inspection data into systems such as SAP and Jira.
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective action implementation and validation.
  • Contribute to quality metrics and reporting to track overall quality performance.
  • Perform metrology tasks, including CMM measurements, as needed.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and improve processes.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment (automotive, semiconductor, or aerospace preferred)
  • Experience inspecting mechanical, electrical, and electronic components using precision measurement tools
  • Experience defining and executing quality inspection criteria based on control plans
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides)
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills

Bonus Qualifications:
  • Experience with SAP and/or Jira
  • Experience in automotive, software, contract manufacturing, or customer-focused environments

Benefits:
  • Pre-tax commuter benefits
  • Employer (HireArt) subsidized healthcare benefits (eligibility begins on the first of the month following 60 days of service)
  • Flexible Spending Account for healthcare-related costs
  • HireArt covers all costs for short- and long-term disability and life insurance
  • 401k package

Commitment: This is a full-time, ongoing contract position staffed via HireArt. It will be onsite and available to candidates who are local to the Hayward, CA area.

HireArt values diversity and is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We are interested in every qualified candidate who is eligible to work in the United States. Unfortunately, we are not able to sponsor visas or employ corp-to-corp.
