Job descriptionManage restoration projects from initial design phase to completion Lead proposal development, including scope definition, fee estimation, scheduling, and resource planning Conduct site investigations and evaluations Prepare detailed technical reports of findings, provide recommendations on project concept, and provide direction during construction phase Prepare detailed restoration design, including scopes of work, specifications, and drawings Chair client meetings and communicate design updates, changes, and key project milestones to contractors and other engineering and architectural disciplines Manage the tendering process and oversee contract administration, including bid preparation, contractor selection, and review of invoices and change orders Represent Sense at industry events and other networking functions Commitment to continuous learning by staying updated with industry trends, codes, and best practices Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers Occasional travel within Canada required, with the majority of projects to be within Ontario Other duties as assigned / required Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related field from an accredited university Minimum 5 years of Building Envelope and / or Structural Restoration experience Registered with or eligible for registration with Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO) Proven ability to apply project management principles, from strategic planning and budgeting to resource allocation and scope control Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and relationship building skills with a proven ability to build trust with clients and contractors Good working knowledge of MS Office tools, including Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. Strong work ethic and attention to detail coupled with a client-centric mindset Commitment to creative thinking and approaching challenges from fresh perspectives, with a strong commitment to continuous learning and fostering a culture of knowledge sharing within the organization Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation required Join a vibrant and supportive team of dedicated professionals who value collaboration and camaraderie - plus, we make time for fun with our monthly social events!
