Job Title: Production Worker/ Forklift Operater

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Assembler to join our dynamic team. This role involves operating a stand-up (Hyster) reach forklift to transport empty totes, removing labels from totes by hand or using a pressure washer, and relabeling totes with appropriate WHMIS labels. You will also stage totes for shipping and occasionally assist with loading chemical mixing machines. Additionally, the role requires lifting chemical bags or pails up to 50 lbs. with a partner, performing general cleanup, organizing the work area, and conducting quality control with PH testing and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Operate stand-up (Hyster) reach forklift to transport empty totes.
• Remove labels from totes manually or using a pressure washer.
• Hook up hoses to wash the inside of empty totes.
• Relabel totes with WHMIS labels and prepare for shipping.
• Assist with loading chemical mixing machines as needed.
• Lift chemical bags or pails up to 50 lbs. with a partner.
• Perform general cleanup and organize the work area.
• Conduct quality control including PH testing and documentation.

Essential Skills

• Experience with stand-up reach forklifts for at least 2 years (3rd party certification is a bonus).
• Production experience in labeling and batch sampling.
• Experience working in a wash bay environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Strong adherence to policies and procedures.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with chemical handling, inventory management, and visual inspection.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• WHMIS & TDG certification.
• Comfortable using computers.
• Knowledge of SAP.
• Experience in transloading.

Work Environment

The work environment is busy and operated by a small, close-knit team. We emphasize teamwork and communication, ensuring everyone contributes to the overall success. While certain areas, like the wash bay, can be noisy and have various scents, they are not overpowering. Training occurs Monday to Friday from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, and 10:00am to 6:00pm and post-training shifts may require availability from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm or 10:00 am to 6:30 pm. Overtime is rare but may be required occasionally.

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $26.00/hr.
