The Procurement Manager is responsible for the overall management and performance of a specific set of commodities and vendors to support Noble in their network operations.
Compensation : $100K-$120KLocation : Concord, ON Duration : Permanent Placement How you Contribute to Noble's SuccessMeet and exceed assigned performance goals, including cost savings, working capital, and efficiency improvements in order to support overall Procurement department , including but not limited to, data collection and review, market and vendor evaluation, contract negotiation and execution, monitoring compliance and , negotiations, awards, and (Operations, Transportation, Materials Management, etc.) for efficient and timely ordering and delivery of goods and , forums, demonstrations and exhibits to maintain professional competence and to keep current with technical literatureConstantly sourcing and evaluating new innovative suppliers' abilities and capacities within assigned commoditiesOccasional travel domestically and internationally, may be requiredMust Haves and Nice to HavesDegree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related fieldSCMP designation or equivalent is a strong asset7-10 years of experience in a procurement function, at least 5 years in strategic roles (sourcing, commodities, vendor management)A valid Ontario Driver's License and vehicle
Job Skills and KnowledgeProficient knowledge of contract negotiationsAbility to develop formal reports and presentations for senior managementIn-depth experience with the procurement of assigned specific commodities is preferable and / or ability to quickly acquire such knowledge for unfamiliar commoditiesDevelopment and implementation of sourcing strategies, procurement, and process flow throughout the organizationAbility to identify potential supply chain risk and implement risk mitigation strategiesPractical knowledge of the tools for increasing negotiation leverage and buying powerAbility to engage supplier in collaborative projects on efficiency improvement and TCO reductionAbility to process, manipulate, and analyze large amount of relevant data, to understand and evaluate supplier performance and recognize improvement opportunitiesStrong relationship building skills
