We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join a team in the Construction industry, located in Whitby.

Title : PART-TIME Accounts Payable Clerk

Location : Whitby

Industry : Construction

Type : 12 months contract, potential to extend. Part-time 15-20 hours only. Please DO NOT apply if you are looking for full-time hours.

Do you have experience with full-cycle accounts payable?

Responsibilities

In this Accounts Payable Clerk role in Whitby, you will be responsible for the following :

  • Review, code, and process a high volume of vendor invoices in ERP accurately.
  • Prepare and execute timely payments via checks, ACH, and wire transfers.
  • Reconcile AP sub-ledgers, vendor statements, and bank accounts regularly.
  • Communicate with vendors to resolve inquiries and disputes.
  • Ensure AP processes comply with healthcare regulations and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Generate and analyze AP reports in ERP to monitor payment cycles and cash flow.
  • Identify and implement improvements to streamline AP processes.
  • Assist in the month-end closing process with AP-related journal entries and reports.
  • Collaborate with finance, procurement, and other departments to ensure smooth financial operations.
  • Qualifications

    In this Accounts Payable Clerk role in Whitby, you will be required to have the following :

  • Minimum 2 years of experience processing full-cycle AP.
  • Experience with MS Excel including (v / h / xlookups, pivot tables, formulas).
  • Previous experience working in a similar industry is an asset.
  • Must be willing to work part-time hours, minimum 2 days per week (weekdays only). This role does not have the potential to turn full-time.
