Express Scripts Canada is looking for a Senior Director, Provider Services to join our dynamic team. Reporting directly to the President, we are looking for a passionate and innovative leader to play a key strategic leadership role for the direction and growth of our Provider Services business unit.
This role will partner with providers to simplify the administration of health claims processing and ultimately improve patient satisfaction and health outcomes.
The successful candidate will be responsible for defining, leading, and driving the Provider Services strategy and corresponding people, process and technology roadmaps while effectively managing ongoing operations, including provider contract management and Call Centre, developing and adhering to operational budgets, quality and service standards.
As of member of the Canadian executive team, this leader will work closely with peer functions across the business. With a background in practice management, clinical proficiency and regulatory compliance, the role will support the expansion of the Provider Services business by forming and fostering provider and industry partnerships, leading the development, delivery and management of market leading services.
This role will work closely with cross-functional teams including Provider Relations, Project Management, Finance, Legal, Application Delivery, Business Users, Providers and Clients to define, articulate and build solutions that improve the overall provider experience and drive a direct impact on key business goals.
We are looking for an outcome driven individual who is able to work closely and align to facilitate a provider strategy, develop a roadmap and prioritize work based on key stakeholder engagement and who undaunted by multiple dependencies both internal and external.
Key Responsibilities :
Develop the vision, business model and processes to deliver an outstanding and compelling provider services experience
Facilitate the strategy and approach for provider services, leveraging key stakeholder inputs. Create and refine business cases for future investments by considering financial attributes and value.
Build strong relationships with pharmacy chains, banners and associations.
Responsible for the overall management of the Provider Services business unit. Develop, motivate, and evaluate the leadership team and employees of the Provider services product, provider relations and Call Centre to ensure that experience, service and quality standards are met.
Develop and ensure compliance with operational budgets; analyze variances in budget and initiate cost efficiency strategies.
Ensure compliance with all governmental regulations and corporate policies.
Interact effectively with senior leaders, presenting insights and strategies that drive our corporate goals in a clear and concise manner.
Manage special projects as assigned by senior management.
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Management / Business Administration or related field from recognized university with at least 10 years’ work experience OR Master’s degree with at least 5 years work experience in the related field
Bachelor of Science-Pharmacy or PharmD is strongly preferred
Knowledge of the Pharmacy or Group Health Insurance (pharmacy, dental, other health) industry or adjudication systems
Creative, strategic thinker and self-starter
Experience with work plan development and expense budgeting
Must have proven leadership skills, team-orientation, and a proactive and optimistic management style
Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally to solve complex problems and improve quality and service
Strong professional presence, communication, oral, written and presentation skills, including facilitation of meetings where excellent verbal, presentation and written communication skills is a must;
Strong collaboration and relationship management skills
Strong problem-solving, negotiation and organizational skills
Collaborative work ethic and high degree of integrity are essential
Track record of entrepreneurial growth and comfort with ambiguity
Approximately 10% travel will be required
Bilingual (English / French) is an asset
