About The Opportunity
Our client, a respected engineering consulting firm, is seeking a highly experienced
Senior Plumbing Design Engineer / Designer
to join their Mississauga office. This is a fantastic opportunity for an engineer who brings deep technical expertise, strong design capabilities, and a passion for delivering high-quality building systems. If you have
10+ years of Canadian experience
in Plumbing & Fire Protection design and want to take on a leadership-driven role, we want to hear from you.
What You'll Do
Design and develop plumbing and fire protection systems for various building types
Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and technical reports
Ensure all designs comply with applicable building codes, standards, and regulatory requirements
Collaborate daily with architects, in-house designers, consultants, and project teams
Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and support throughout project lifecycle
Assist during construction phases by reviewing submittals, responding to RFIs, and resolving site issues
What You Bring
Minimum 10 years of Canadian experience in Plumbing & Fire Protection system design
Strong understanding of Ontario Building Code, NFPA standards, and industry best practices
Proficiency in preparing layouts, schematics, and system calculations
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills
Ability to work collaboratively with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related discipline)
