THE JOB :
Under the direction of the 1 st National Vice-President :
QUALIFICATIONS :
Post-secondary diploma in Web Development, Web Programming, Digital Media or a related field, plus a minimum of 3-5 years of progressively responsible experience , preferably in a union, non-profit, or public sector environment. Thorough knowledge and expertise using the Drupal content management system, web applications, social media platforms as well as mass email and data analytic tools; Hands on experience with HTML, CSS, PHP and APIs; Experience with Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere and InDesign; Experience with SQL database management. Experience with email marketing platforms (e.g., MailChimp, Constant Contact) to manage mailing lists and distribute content. Basic knowledge of IT support tasks, such as managing user accounts, performing system backups, and maintaining secure IT systems in a Microsoft environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and French, with the ability to tailor messaging for different audiences and media. Knowledge of the structure of UTE and the PSAC; Sound judgment, initiative, reliability and the ability to work independently. Ability to remain current on emerging information technology trends.
