We are looking for a talented Diesel Technician/Mechanic to join our Distribution business in (Kamloops, BC).
Will make an impact in the following ways:
Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop
Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools
Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles
Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies
Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products
Maintain own tools
In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:
Completes complex internal engine repairs
Performs engine overhauls unassisted
Detailed understanding of the aftertreatment system and components
Proficient experience with engine diagnostic software

Position Summary
As a Commercial Transport Technician, you will perform diagnostics, repairs, inspections, and preventative maintenance on a diverse range of commercial vehicles and equipment. What You'll Do
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair diesel engines and vehicle systems
Perform complex mechanical repairs following documented procedures and manufacturer standards
Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and services
Complete Commercial Vehicle Inspection Program (CVIP) inspections where licensed
Repair and maintain:
Heavy-duty and medium-duty trucks
Transit buses
Highway trucks and commercial vehicles
Fire trucks
Construction equipment
Trailers
RVs
Generators
Various commercial and industrial equipment
Accurately complete work orders, inspection reports, warranty documentation, and timesheets
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures
Participate in an on-call emergency service rotation as required
Support and mentor junior technicians when applicable
Qualifications Required
Red Seal Truck and Transport Technician Certification
Valid driver's license
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
Experience performing bumper-to-bumper repairs on commercial vehicles
Commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and customer satisfaction
Preferred
Valid CVIP License
Class 3 Driver's License
Experience with trailer repair
Experience working on Cummins engines
OEM dealership experience
Experience servicing generators, RVs, and industrial equipment

Education, Licenses, Certifications:
Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred)
Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution
Locally valid driving permit (Preferred)

Experience:
Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products
