Norpac was established to serve the slope stabilization industry across Canada, delivering a wide range of specialized services including high-angle rock scaling and rockfall mitigation measures, shotcrete application, anchor and micropile drilling, civil earthworks, and design-build. We work closely with our clients and consultants to deliver tailored solutions at every stage of a project. As we continue to expand our presence in the civil and earthworks sector, we are seeking an organized and detail oriented Administrative Assistant to support our field operations and office team. This is an in-office position reporting directly to Senior Management.
Position Summary
The Administrative Assistant will play a vital role in coordinating crew schedules and logistics, while also supporting the administrative team as needed. This role presents a unique opportunity for the successful candidate to contribute to shaping Norpac’s growth and to have a lasting impact on the success of the company’s wide-ranging project portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
· Assist in the creation and maintenance of crew schedules for multiple projects, including rotations, travel days, and time off
· Communicate schedules and schedule changes to crews and managers
· Coordinate travel, accommodations and logistics for site crews
· Assist in ensuring compliance with safety policies and site access requirements for crews
· Prepare, organize, and maintain filing systems, records and documentation
· Provide general administrative support as needed
Requirements
· Familiarity with basic computer programs and typing skills
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook, Word, Teams, OneDrive, and Projects
· Ability to manage and oversee crew scheduling
· Adaptability to prioritize and multitask while maintaining a high attention to detail
· Strong organizational skills
· Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
· Ability to work independently and take initiative, as well as collaborate within a team when necessary
· Flexibility and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
· Experience in HSE and HR considered an asset
· Valid driver’s licence and access to a vehicle
