As Ontario’s association representing the province’s 24 public colleges, Colleges Ontario promotes the college sector’s pivotal role in strengthening the economy by producing graduates with the professional qualifications and expertise to succeed in rewarding careers.

Colleges Ontario champions policy measures to enhance the quality of college programs and services and implements provincewide marketing and communications campaigns to promote the full range of programs offered to students.

Colleges Ontario provides professional development programs for college leaders and hosts various events, including the annual Higher Education Summit, one of North America’s premier conferences on post-secondary education.

Colleges Ontario seeks a strategic and forward-looking leader for the role of Vice President Policy and Innovation.

Reporting to the President and CEO, and serving as a member of a highly integrated senior management team, the Vice President Policy and Innovation leads the development of evidence-informed strategic policy advice to support the mission of Colleges Ontario.

Providing leadership to the policy team and working in collaboration across the organization, the public college sector, and with government officials and key stakeholders, the Vice President oversees the development of credible research and analysis of policy issues to inform the development of association policy positions.

In order to excel in this mission-critical role, deep experience in public policy analysis and development will be essential, along with expertise in navigating legislation, regulations, and policies relative to the post-secondary sector.

A visionary approach, combined with political acumen and adaptability, will be crucial for guiding transformative change during a time of challenge and opportunity.

Superior communication skills will be key to persuasively conveying complex messages to diverse audiences and exceptional interpersonal abilities will help build trust and foster relationships both internally and with key external partners.

To align with Colleges Ontario's inclusive culture of excellence and impact, the candidate will be willing to work in-person three days per week at the Colleges Ontario office in downtown Toronto, and will bring passionate, results-driven leadership and a strong commitment to collegiality and respect, making them a key asset to the senior management team.

Fluency in French will be considered a strong asset.
