Bedford Parks Animal Hospital is currently welcoming full-time DVM / Medical Director to join our team!

About the Opportunity ! The ideal candidate for the Medical Director position will be confident and excited about building a strong team that aligns with our values.

You see your team as an integral part of the broader team and you focus on taking the time to know each member, knowing that each person requires a tailored approach when it comes to : learning, performance and attaining set out goals.

Some key responsibilities include :

Along with your main role as lead veterinarian, providing expertise to ensure optimal patient care; coaching teams in the realm of wellness plans, preventative and overall patient care.

Review and enhance protocols when required according to regulatory requirements

Foster a culture of teamwork and exceptional client service.

Partner with hospital leadership to assess financial performance and operations, addressing areas for improvement and celebrating achievements regularly

Engage in recruiting efforts for qualified Veterinarians through externships, referrals, career fairs, and DVM student summer program hires

Work with leadership to build and lead a high-performing team of veterinarians and technologists / technicians, employing effective leadership and coaching practices.

Contribute to performance evaluations and lead coaching sessions for all team members, emphasizing client education on wellness plans and preventive care.

Exceptional coaching and mentoring capabilities for your medical and support team

Passion for developing personally and professionally; prior experience leading medical teams is an asset but not required
