As an experienced Senior Project Manager in the Building Operations team at Pomerleau Construction, you will manage large-scale building and infrastructure projects - ranging from $ million to upwards of $1 billion - while working closely with our client groups and subcontractors and acting as an integral part of our projects team.

What you will do

  • Grow and maintain strong relationships with team members, tradepartners, consultants and clients to achieve the project goals and vision;
  • Supportyour project management teams to develop and drive the construction scheduleensuring that completion dates and milestones are met;
  • Putyour problem-solving skills to work and recommend innovative methods that willincrease effectiveness and efficiency to ensure project excellence andproductivity;
  • Useyour proactive approach to ensure compliance with our first-class QualityProgram;
  • Utilizeyour experience in trade partner selection and coordination of their activities;
  • Applyyour financial management experience to plan, manage and respect projectbudgets, costs and associated purchasing;
  • Shareyour knowledge and be a role model through mentorship opportunities withproject team members;
  • Keepthe lines of communication open regarding project status and updates;
  • Bean expert in risk management to ensure any associated project risk is minimized;
  • Takepride in compiling and completing companywide project reports;
  • Demonstrateleadership in Health, Safety and Environmental Protection on the project;
  • Effectively apply the requirements of the project specific safety standards topromote Pomerleau’s HS&E standards, applicable OH&S acts, regulationsand codes with all employees and trade partners on the project;
  • Celebrateproject success and completion and be a key member of the project wrap-upprocess.

This role could be for you if you have

  • 10+ years’ experience in Project Management the ICIconstruction industry;
  • UniversityDegree / Technology Diploma in Engineering, or a combination of education andindustry experience;
  • Aproven track record of project leadership, success and team collaboration;
  • Outstandingleadership and organizational skills with the ability to effectively influenceothers and successfully resolve a variety of client, project and technicalissues to bring the project to successful completion;
  • Strongknowledge of construction and project methodologies, financial management, aswell as building codes and associated legislation;
  • Rolemodel status for health and safety as well as quality;
  • Apassion to develop, maintain and execute the project schedule;
  • Goodcomputer skills and previous experience with scheduling software;
  • Knowledgeof the market.
