We’re looking for a Weekend Maintenance Supervisor to join our veneer mill located in Lumby, British Columbia . Our White Valley Division produces the veneer used at our Armstrong Plywood facility.

White Valley safely and sustainably produces , million square feet of veneer every year for customers around the world so they can build their homes and their communities.

Our ideal candidate has the following qualifications :

• A minimum two years’ experience in mechanical and electrical trades maintenance and repair work in industrial plants, or any equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Experience in a leadership role.
• Exceptional organization and time management skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills are essential for this position.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Relevant experience in the wood industry, especially sawmill experience, is considered an asset.
• Ability to work a variety of shifts including weekends.

• Build regular and turnaround / shutdown maintenance plans to keep the mill running it’s best.
• Ensure staffing, tools, equipment and materials are in place to safely and quickly complete planned maintenance.
• Leverage stores / spare parts management processes to best utilize the resources available to you and plan for the future.
• Partner with departments across the mill to deliver excellent customer service .
• Responsible for organizing and supervising the Saturday Cleanup Crew.
