We’re looking for a Weekend Maintenance Supervisor to join our veneer mill located in Lumby, British Columbia . Our White Valley Division produces the veneer used at our Armstrong Plywood facility. White Valley safely and sustainably produces , million square feet of veneer every year for customers around the world so they can build their homes and their communities.
Our ideal candidate has the following qualifications :
- A minimum two years’ experience in mechanical and electrical trades maintenance and repair work in industrial plants, or any equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Experience in a leadership role.
- Exceptional organization and time management skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills are essential for this position.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Relevant experience in the wood industry, especially sawmill experience, is considered an asset.
- Ability to work a variety of shifts including weekends.

Build regular and turnaround / shutdown maintenance plans to keep the mill running it’s best.Ensure staffing, tools, equipment and materials are in place to safely and quickly complete planned maintenance.Leverage stores / spare parts management processes to best utilize the resources available to you and plan for the future.Partner with departments across the mill to deliver excellent customer service .Responsible for organizing and supervising the Saturday Cleanup Crew.So, what’s in it for you?
